What's the Process?
To begin your Spark aligner treatment, we invite you to contact our Kurri Kurri or Raymond Terrace dental clinic to arrange an appointment.
Here are the steps we’ll follow:
- Initial consultation — First, we’ll need to examine your teeth and take digital scans and x-rays. This allows us to construct a 3-D model of your mouth. We’ll use this model to create your custom clear aligners.
- Treatment planning — Next, we’ll discuss your treatment plan with you, outlining how long we expect it to take and the treatment costs. We’ll also answer all your questions.
- Aligner fitting — Once your clear aligners are ready, you’ll wear your first set for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, brush and floss. For treatment to work as planned, aligners generally need to be worn for about 22 hours each day.
- Regular check-ups — As your teeth gradually shift into the desired position, your dentist will monitor tooth movement and make adjustments as needed. The number of trays you’ll need, and your treatment duration depends on the severity of your orthodontic condition.
